

Jingyi Bai is a Chinese-born pianist whose studies and performances have taken her across China, Europe, Canada and the United States. Active as both a solo and collaborative pianist, she has appeared in recitals, competitions, festivals, and educational programs in each of these countries.
In 2025, Jingyi won First Prize in the Beethoven Club Competition and was named the winner of the 2024–2025 Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music Soloist Competition. As a result, she performed Ravel G major piano concerto with the University Symphony Orchestra and was featured in the corresponding Winner Concert. She also presented a Winner Concert for the Beethoven Club in Memphis. Earlier in her career, she received the Finalist Prize in the Erik Torricelli Competition for outstanding students from Tuscan music academies in Siena, Italy.
In addition to performing, Bai has been involved in music festivals and educational initiatives. She served as a Judge for the Bright Juniors Group and Festival Assistant at the 2025 Memphis International Piano Festival and Competition. She is also an Artistic Ambassador for Hemiola Culture & Media Co., Ltd. in the United States and a represented artist of the AMAF Association in Italy.
Jingyi has participated in masterclasses with Artina McCain, Jonathan Tsay, Tanya Gabrielian, Dr. Jean Saulnier, Dr.Jimmy Briere, Cecilia Yudha, Jasmin Arakawa, Cathal Breslin, and Jean-François Antonioli.
She earned her Bachelor of Music from Harbin Normal University and her Master of Music from Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini, where she studied with Giampaolo Nuti and performed widely in conservatories, recitals, and masterclasses across Italy. She is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Memphis on a full scholarship and graduate assistantship, studying with Artina McCain.
Jingyi is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and continues to perform as a soloist and collaborative pianist while pursuing projects in performance, education, and cultural exchange.
